The journey began when Louise Clark, The Collective founder, was hit with post-natal depression following the birth of her daughter Billie in 2009.
Today, they are a strong team who share a passion for fashion – and compassion.
From just a few racks of clothing, donated by family and friends, Louise set about building her dream of a high quality fashion store with more. She rented a space in Birkenhead on Auckland’s North Shore, gathered a passionate volunteer crew and began growing The Collective.
What Louise has created is a beautiful retail shop and online store, which fosters community spirit and raises funds for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.
Its a dream to start conversations, raise funds and harness the collective power of community to end the stigma.
Share your preloved items, share your mental health stories, share Lou’s compassion.
It’s conscious living, it’s encouraging dialogue, it’s promoting authenticity.
It feels good. And it looks good.
